What Makes Michelle Tick…

My greatest motivation in life is my spiritual foundation, nurtured by local indigenous ceremonies. Traveling with my children, singing, dancing, writing, and teaching Spanish and Mexican Manners courses also make my soul dance!

Previously a Realtor with Keller Williams, Michelle earned the award Real Estate Rookie of the Year in 2022 before joining Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices. Michelle—who often goes by the nickname Mischa—is a dedicated mother, educator, and relocation specialist who moved to México in 2006 from Seattle, Washington, after studying in México City with The University of Washington and falling in love with Mexican culture. After 13 years with her San Miguel de Allende bookstore, Garrison & Garrison Books, she joined the real estate world and quickly excelled, becoming a certified Realtor Trainer for Keller Williams.

Michelle grew up in Washington state on a horse ranch—Ebony the pony plays an instrumental role in her development—and first learned her communications skills from her equine work, which served her well when she earned her undergrad degree in Organizational Management. After an early career with Nordstrom learning excellent customer service skills, Michelle worked in education for a decade as a behavioral specialist, studying counseling on the side, and went on to earn her Master’s degree in Multi-Cultural Education. Michelle adores her three children, loves karaoke, and has expanded her Julia Cameron-inspired writing habit to follow Elizabeth Gilbert’s—of Eat, Pray, Love fame—Letters From Love writing methodology. An excellent communicator, Michelle looks forward to putting those skills to work with her clients—after all, a Realtor’s success is measured by their communication skills!
